♥ Flakies Yay!

I just wanted to show off two of my new nail polishes. I bought a couple the other day (read: five) and these are the ones I've tried so far. I've been wanting a flakies polish for soo long. I love the look of it but you can't seem to find it anywhere here in London?

Anyway now you can, I walked into the Inglot shop at Westfield Shopping Center and found this lil flaky polish. It was £8.

The other polish is from Gabrini and it was £1. I actually love it, I love the shade of pink and it had golden shimmers in it.

I thought they would make a good combo.

Which one do you like the best?
Do u find it easy to find flakies polishes in the UK?

♥ Usual & Unusual

Hello! I know a lot of you want to see more outfit posts, but it's so hard to find the time to take nice picture, or get someone else to do it.
But here is a little something I wore a couple of days ago

I also wanted to show this lipstick of mine which was my favourite before I bought the Sleek Pout Paint one (yes I know I always go on about that).

This lipstick has such a strange colour, If you look close you can see that it kinda has a blue shimmer to it?

Anyway it's from NYC and I am sure it wasn't more than a couple of pounds.

Sorry about the moody face the misbehaving left collar.. :/

♥ Organic Make up Range

Hi Everyone! I was going to post this a couple of days ago, but then I got some of the make up and thought I might as well wait 'til I review it. I have the lipgloss, an eyeshadow and a lip liner. They contain loads of amazing ingredients such as Castor Oil, Hemp Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter and Seaweed extract.

But I'm so excited to share it that I made this collage anyway :)

It's Neal's Yard and Remedies and they have extended their make up range to include lipgloss, eyeshadows, eyeliners, brushes, bronzers and blusher. You can find them here.

I am a bit of an ingredient freak but I actually don't know much about mineral make up. These are of course free from mineral oils, silicones, parabens.. and also Talc. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that in most mineral make up? I googled it and apparently it is not good for you, I actually didn't know that.

What do you think of organic make up?
Is it necessary or over the top & will you try it?

♥ DIY: Soothing Aloe Vera & Orange Body Scrub

Soothing Aloe Vera & Orange Body Scrub

I just wanted to share this Aloe Vera & Sweet Orange Oil body scrub. I love making my own body scrub because it's easy, you have most of the ingredients at home and you can alter it the way you like it.

In my body scrub I used:

-Almond Oil
-Jojoba Oil
-Castor Sugar
-Aloe Vera Gel (99%)

How to alter your scrub for your skin type, usage and how long you want it to last:

Use Aloe Vera Gel:
- Most Aloe Vera gel will have a preservative in them, use Aloe Vera Gel if you want your product to last longer.
-It's soothing, so use it on sensitive, sunburnt or skin you just shaved.
-If you don't want any oily residue on your skin after using the scrub, use a larger quantity of Aloe Vera. Otherwise, use more oil and you won't need to use body lotion afterward.

Coconut Oil:
-If you want your bodyscrub to be more solid. Coconut Oil is solid at room temprature and melt when in contact with your skin.

Sugar:
-Use finer sugar if you want a more gentle scrub, like an everyday scrub or a face scrub.

Essential Oils
-As a perfume, use any essential oil that you think smells nice like: Sweet Orange Oil. Peppermint Oil gives a cooling sensation and can feel refreshing, Lavender Essential Oil is calming and Tea Tree Oil is anti septic.

Do you make your own body scrub?

♥ Make Up: My Eyeshadow Palettes Part. 2

Isadora Eyeshadow Quartet, from here

This is fairly old, I actually got it from my mum. She uses this brand a lot but she didn't want this quartet. The swatches are made without an eyeshadow primer and as you can see they are well pigmented.

I feel that I always use eyeliner (liquid and gel) and make the same look so I wanted to try something different. The eyeliner I used for this look is the MUA one for £1, it's great.

Quality: As the description says (linked in the beginning) this eye shadow is fairly creamy, and there is definitely no fall off. It is also very pigmented as you can see in the swatches.
Lasting Power: Well I didn't wear this look out and I haven't used it a lot but I'd say it's average.
Would I buy again: They are a bit pricey (Read: I'm stingy) but they are great quality so yes!

What do you think of this look? Have you used Isadora products, I think the brand is Swedish or Scandinavian :)

♥ Real Techniques Blush Brush & Shading Brush

Real Techniques Brush Review Part.2 (CLICK for part 1)

So a while ago I went and bought some more Real Techniques brushes, I got the Real Techniques Brush Blush and the Real Techniques Shading Brush

Blush Brush, from the web site "Contour and define cheeks for flawlessly blended, high-definition results"

What I think:
-It is super soft and I love how it can stand on it's own, as you can see in my pics it's really handy
-I love that it's pink (yes, I think that's relevant to the review lol)
-I think it's great for applying bronzer, highlighter and for contouring (And of course blush but I dont use it)

Shading Brush, "From subtle to dramatic, this brush is ideal for creating flawless high-definition results"

What I think:
-This is quite small, and very dense.
-I think it's great in the crease!
-I used this brush for applying the dark green in my crease in this look:

What do you think of the Real Techniques brushes?
Any reviews..send your links!?

♥ Make Up: My Eyeshadow Palettes Part.1

MUA Trio Eyeshadow in shade: Eden

I wouldn't say I collect make up, but I do have more than a few eyeshadow palettes lying around. So I thought I'd do a little series where I use some of those palettes to create different looks and do a little review of it.

The first one is my MUA Trio Eyeshadow in shade "Eden", you can get it here.

View a collage of the look HERE (My instagram)

Quality: I think these shadows are great, they apply really well an the quality is good. They are also very pigmented.
Lasting Power: I think the lasting power is good and I haven't noticed them creasing or anything.
Would I buy again: Quality wise, yes!! They're great. But I am very ingredient aware and they contain both mineral oil & parabens which is really unnecessary, so unless the ingredients changed, no.

Have you tried these eyeshadow trios? What do you think of them?

♥ Models Own Aqua Violet

Models Own Aqua Violet, Beetle Juice collection

Here is the the second of the Models Own polishes I bought (here).

The shade is called "Models Own Aqua Violet" and is also from the Beetle Juice collection. That name pretty much describes what it is, aqua-blue with hints of purple. It's a shame you can't see the purple shades more though, but I managed to bring it out in some of the pics.

So the last polish I tried (here) was very very sheer. So to prevent my nail-line from showing again I used a nude polish from MUA as a base. After that I used two coats of the polish and finished with one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

So the main colour is really blue, but you can see a bit of purple

This is what the colour looks like most of the time. "aqua-blue"

Have you tried this or any other polishes from the Beetle Juice collection?

♥ Tribal Prints at H&M , Fashion Against Aids

H&M Fashion Against Aids 2012

I'm not one to hype H&M's limited collections but I had to share this one. It will be in store on the 26th April in the Divided sections. I really really like this collection so I put together two collages of my favorites. So many Tribal and Aztec prints!

My favorites in this collage are the Aztec/Tribal print Bustier and the Shorts with the same print. The dress is really cute too.

I looove this bikini. I also really like the silver bangle and the skirt.

The pictures are from HM.com and the collages are made by me.

Which ones are your favorites?

♥ Models Own Beetlejuice, NOTD

I picked up this Models Own polish yesterday from the Beetlejuice collection. If you live in West London you should check out their stand in Westfield shopping center, they opened last week!

I wanted to buy two shades initially but there was a 3 for £12 offer so I got three polishes in a super cute little box.

If you want to see the other shades I got click HERE

This is from the Beetlejuice collection and the shade is called  Indian Ocean, NP133

So I did manage to capture all the different shades in the polish. The main shade is light blue, with pink and yellow shimmer as you can see.

I did know that this sort of polish are never very covering. I actually lost Count how many coats I used for this. It was 4 or 5 though which is not very good.

My nail line is still visible but bare in mind thought that mine are really white (more than normal, apparenlt), so it might be that mine are more visible.

It is a lovely colour though and you can literally see all the shades at the same time, really cool!

Have you tried these polishes, if you have, send the link :)

♥ DIY- Protein Avocado Hair Treatment

DIY: Homemade avocado and egg hair mask

I think we all know by now that sometimes, your hair needs extra protein. This is because your hair is made by keratin (a protein). It is especially important when you have chemically treated hair, which means you have dyed, bleached, relaxed your hair etc. The reason this homemade hair mask gives your hair protein is because of the egg.

I want to share an easy DIY protein hair mask with you :)

I put in: Coconut Oil, Honey, 1 Avocado, 1 egg, Sweet Orange Oil & Shea Butter

Put everything in your blender and start mixing!

This is what it will look like

What it looked like in my hair

Tips:
-Add an essential oil like Orange or Peppermint to make it smell nice
- Rinse it out in cold water unless you want fried egg in your hair :)

Have you done a hair mask like this?
Or any other interesting recipes you want to share?

♥ DIY: Studded Denim Vest & Studded Denim Shorts

Im really excited to share my latest DIY!

I've been meaning to order studs for soo long and since I recently bought both a denim vest and a pair of Levi's shorts to stud, ordering them was way overdue!

Anyway, I found I site I'm really happy with. It's a UK based site and I ordered these on Thursday and received them on Saturday.

The website is www.josyrose.com

Here is a mini "how to stud a denim vest- tutorial". The pictures are moving so just keep looking!
Also, when your dealing with a thick fabric like denim, make sure you push the sharp ends in properly.

This is the result, I really like it!

DIY studded Levi's shorts- these are not finished though.

I also decided to spice up my army jacket. So here you go- Army Jacket with golden studs! I really like this.

Last but not least, I bought this from H&M months ago, for £5 on Sale. Initially I though I'd put collar tips on it, but since I had some spare studs I decided to create my own "Stud- Collar Tips"

What do you think?
Which one do you prefer more, and have you done something like this (please share)

♥ Smokey MUA

I decided to do a smokey eye look using only MUA (Make up Academy) eyeshadows.

I only used two different shades, this black one from the MUA glitterbomb palette.

And this MUA single eyeshadow. This shade is such a cool colour, initially when I bought it I thought it was grey. It's not, it's kind of dark brown with green shades coming out in different lighting.

This swatch shows quite an accurate colour, a grey/green metallic with browns in it.

What do you think of this look?
