♥ Purple OPI & BF Sparkles

For this I used two coats of OPI "Grape Set Match", one coat of BF (Beauty Forever) Sparkly Polish in shade 19 and one coat of Seche Vite top coat.

Now to the pics, as quite often, my camera would not work with me (focus) and I actually think the iphone 4s pictures came out nicer!? What do you think..?

This is one of those cheap nail polish brands (read: 80% of the polishes I own) for £1 at my local hair shop. I really like this combination but the funny thing about this glitter polish is that the colour is a bit misleading, as you can see the glitter is silver. The glitter polish on it's on has a slight purple tint but not enough to matter.

What do you think?

♥ Catherine Arley Holographic Pink Polish

Catherine Arley Holographic Pink Polish

Quite a long while ago I order this Catherine Arley holographic polish from Ebay. It got lost in the post so I never received it. I told the seller and she was so nice and took my word for it, and sent me a new one immediately. I would really recommend her if you want to buy these polishes (link)
Anyway I love it, its soo nice. Despite the shimmer, the colour makes a nice every day colour since it's not very bright.

This brand is so cheap for a holographic polish and I think it's Bulgarian since the seller is based in Bulgarian and from researching I've noticed it's usually available on Bulgarian websites.

It's around £4 excluding postage, so I really recommend THIS seller if your in Europe.
Here is a direct link to the polish I ordered click :)

I used three coats, but they dried quickly and I finished off with Seche Vite top coat so I didn't have to sit and wait :)

This is what it looks like & most of the ingredients

Have you tried holographic polishes, if so link your post, I want to see :)

And what do you think of my one?

♥ Sleek Pout Paints Mash up

I have done a review on the Sleek Pout Paints before, HERE. If you've followed my blog you would know I almost always use that pink shade (the one in my header) and thats because I absolutely love the pout paints. I have now bought another shade and thought I'd do another review.

This is why I love them:

-You only need a tiny drop of it
-Its really covering and pigmented
-Even the lighter shades are very covering and your lips look moisturised
-Mix them together to get different shades
-The ingredients are very good for a lipstick/lipgloss, Sleek Pout Paints ingredients:

Polyisobutene, Polybutene, Castor Oil, Bees Wax, Caprylic Triglyceride, Silica, Butylated Hydroxy Anisole, Glycol Distearate, Sweet Almond Oil, Octyl Palmitate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Vitamin E, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyiglycerin, Fragrance

May Contain: Titanium Dioxide Cl 77891, D&C Red 6 Cl 15850, D&C Red 7 Cl 15850, D&C Red 27 Cl 45410, FD&C Yellow 5 Cl 19140, FD&C Blue 1 Cl 42090, Iron oxides (Cl 77499, Cl 77492)

The shades I've used in the pictures above are: Sleek Pout Paints Mauve Over, Sleek Pout Paints 156 Peachy Keen. So in the pictures are each colours unmixed, one mix between them two, and ombre lips.

What do you think of the Sleek Pout Paints.. have you tried them?
If you've tried the OCC Tars, which one do you prefer?

♥ DIY: Sweet Orange Lipscrub

I know most of you probably know how to do this since it's not at all complicated. But I thought I'd show those who don't know, and reminds those who do. I also thought it would be fun to show my own version :)

  • I used a lipbalm travel jar from Primark (it comes in a set of 3 lipbalm jars and three lotion bottles, for £1).
  • Fill the jar half way or a bit more with Castor Sugar
  • Pour Jojoba Oil so that you just about cover the sugar, if theres more space, add more sugar & oil subsequently.
  • Finish off with adding Sweet Orange Essential Oil
Alternatives: You can use: salt instead of sugar, although I wouldnt, any other oil instead of Jojoba oil, Fragrance or any other essential oil (like Peppermint Oil) instead of Orange Oil

Hope you liked this. Do you use your own lip scrub or do you prefer the Lush ones?

♥ Colourful, & new purse :)

This is my day in Instagrams.. I went to college and when I finished I went and bought my new purse !  I've been looking for a replacement for my old one for a while (the DKNY one), because it's worn out and I need more card space. So I found this Biba one with 12 card space instead of 8 (Im obsessed with cards too and carry loads).. Do you like it?

The eye make up I wore to college today. Simple!

Then in the evening I had an urge to do some makeuping.. so I did..this one is using my MUA Glitterbomb.. hence the glittery look lol.

Still didn't feel satisfied.. and did another eye make up using my ELF palette.. this is the one in the Instagram pic too..

Have a great evening everyone!

♥ NOT OK.

What puts me off blogging, I'm really really hesitant to write this type of post, but this has been annoying me for soo long. I want to keep my blog a positive space but this is really starting to put me off blogging.

Please, dont write to me and ask if I want to follow our blog, I follow blogs generously, I love reading blogs! I aslo answer every single comment (which means I visit every blog who comments in my blog).
So if I like your blog (which I almost always do), I will FOLLOW you. But if you ask or demand for me to follow you it just puts me off. No offence to the people that might have done this to me and I did decide to follow them, I'm just tired off it.

Remember, I love following blogs and I don't really mind you sharing your new post, giveaways etc. But asking me to follow you is pointless, I probably would have anyway! :)

Why I'm writing this post (even though I don't want to) is because of one blogger, who has been commenting on my blog since I started it 7 months ago. I see her comments in blogs EVERY day, and she always writes the same thing.

She has commented my blog several times, maybe once a month. And she ALWAYS says the same thing. Asking me to follow her on every single network possible.

It is very obvious that she copies a text that she sends to everyone, but alters the beginning and says "nice post" "love your clothes" .. or whatever suits that post. She must be commenting 100's of blogs every day and she's gained thousands of followers, and she can do that. But please, Not in my blog. I blog because I like it, and I hope most of my followers follow me because they like my blog.

I definitely love every single blog I follow.

So I dont want to be extra rude and write her blog, but here is the comment. Im sure MOST of you (atleast my followers) have had this comment.

Ps. As much as I dont like it, im absolutely not angry with anyone sending the odd comment asking me to follow you, personally I don't see the point in asking people to follow, but of course, you dont know what I feel until I say it. I only have a problem with this person repeatedly commenting the same thing..
xx

Have you experienced these comments? What do you think of them, do the bother you?

♥ DIY: Vitamin E- Jojoba & Sweet Orange Nail Oil

Did you know that Vitamin E can really help you if you have brittle nails that break vertically? I've had it before and it's really annoying, your nails grow, but just keep breaking until their really thin which eventually cause the to break horizontally too.

The Vitamin E molecule itself is too big to penetrate the nail, which is why it's commonly used with Jojoba Oil (which has smaller molecules). I use my own nail oil, its a Vitamin E- Jojoba & Sweet orange oil. The Sweet Orange Essential oil makes it smell amazing.

My nail oil is really easy and cheap (in the long run, or if you have some of the ingredients already.

You need an empty nail polish/oil container. I'm using an old nail oil one. A tip is to use a container with a fairly big whole at the top, otherwise you'll spill unnecessary amounts of oil trying to pour it.

The ingredients I use in my nail oil all happen to be from Holland & Barret (UK Health Shop):

-Grapeseed Oil with Vitamin E
-Sweet Orange Essential Oil
-Jojoba Oil

Of course, you can use only Jojoba oil and Vitamin E drops if you want to. Or make another recipe. I just think it's handy that the Vitamin E is in the Grapeseed oil, and I had it at home.

Why you shouldn't buy nail oils, I also wanted to say, even though you might not want to use this recipe. Keep in mind that all the nail oils out there are ridiculously overpriced. Be aware of bad ingredients, and if the ingredients are good, just read them, and make it yourself!

Here are some examples..

Solar Oil, approximately £7 for a normal sized bottle a think.

From what I've researched a lot of people have found that this is a good nail oil. These are the ingredients if you want to make it yourself:

Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Almond Fragrance, Tocopherol Acetate.

!Tocopherol Acetate is Vitamin E for those who don't know.

Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle Oil, approximately £7
I would definitely not buy this, nor copy the ingredients because it contains mineral oil, parabens and silicones- quite a lot of them too. There are some good ingredients though such as: Safflower Oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin B5 (Panthenol), Wheat Germ Oil, Coconut Oil & Aloe Vera.

Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower) , Tocopheryl Acetate , Isocetyl Alcohol , Cyclopentasiloxane , Cyclohexasiloxane , Panthenol , Propylparaben , Prunus Armeniaca Kernal Oil (Apricot) , Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil (Wheat) , Aqua (Water) , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil) , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract , Citric Acid

Do you use nail oils & do you think they work? Any favorites?

♥ Real Techniques Starter Set/Eye Brushes Review

Real Techniques Starter Set/Eye Brushes Review

If you follow me on Twitter (Click) you would know that I realized a couple of weeks ago that the Bobbi Brown brushes I bought were fakes. I dont really care about brands so I didn't realize that the real 10 brush set is actually £140 and since I bought mine for like £23 from Ebay, there was no doubt they were fake. Just to double check I brought them to the Bobbi Brown section at House of Fraiser and she confirmed that they were fakes, but said they were of great quality so I should keep them if I can. I had no doubt the seller from Ebay would refund me when I pointed this out so I was just happy I could go and buy these lovel brushes!

The funny thing is that just after I had bought them (literally) I got an email saying the seller refunded me, AND I got to keep the fake Bobbi Brown brushes (click)

So here is my Real Techniques starter brush set
They come in a case that you can either "close", or keep as a stand like this. It might look useful, but it actually isn't since the brushes are stuck pretty hard when they're put in there, so to take them in and out while your doing your makeup would just be a hassle.

Here's a closer look (click for more info)

From left:
Real Techniques  deluxe crease brush:
Uses: Crease & Concealer
As the name reveals, this brush is for your crease, like many others I do find this too big for the crease, I use it in the outer corner sometimes though. What's not to forget is that ALL the brushes are multifunctional so if you buy these, go on the website! Sam even says in her tutorial videos that the crease brush is great for applying concealer too. And I agree!

Real Techniques  base shadow brush:
Uses: To apply your eye shadow base & I also think it's great for blending. I wasn't too keen on this in the beginning but it has really grow on me, and I love it now. I only use these brushes. Here are some looks I've made using this (and only real techniques brushes)

Real Techniques Brow brush:
Uses: To shape and define eyebrows, Sam also says in her videos that you can use this as an eyeliner close to your eye or under your eye, so again-multi functional. I have read a few reviews on these brushes and a lot of people are saying that this is too big. Since they've compared it to other eyebrow brushes (Mac ones for example) I can see that it is bigger, however I find it a bit strange that they don't show pictures of how it works/doesn't work so that we can see for ourselves. I think it's great, I love the material it's so nice, you have to feel it yourself!

Here is my eyebrow when it's not filled it:

Here it is filled in:

As you can see it's properly filled in, even in the edge. And I wouldn't say my eyebrows are thick by anyones opinion, so I can't see how the brush is too big. But I suppose it's a matter of opinion.

Real Techniques accent brush:
Uses: Detailing, smudging, lining.
This is great for smudging eyeliner close to your eye/under our eye or to apply shadow to inner corners of eyes, a must have!

Pixel-point eyeliner brush: So I've heard a lot of people say that this is too big/doesn't work very well too. Again, why not show results? Any way it works fine for me and I've never used a brush like this before. I think it's great for using eyeliner all the way to the inner corner of your eye, and as you can see, it works for winged eyeliner aswell. I used Maybelline Gel Liner (Click)

I hope this was helpful! I know there are a lot of reviews and opinions out there but I felt like not many of them showed what you can do with them.

I really recommend these as a basic starter set. I'm not fuzzy and I don't really feel I need anymore brushes.

If you buy these, made sure you watch Sam's tutorials on the Real Techniques website.
